Dr. Willieford Moses to Join Department of Surgery Faculty
Dr. Moses graduated from Duke University in 2006 with a BS in Psychology, and received his MD from UCSF School of Medicine in 2011. He completed his general surgery residency at UCSF, graduating in 2018. During his resident research years, Dr. Moses worked in the BioDesign Lab of Dr. Shuvo Roy as a Surgical Innovations Fellow, part of a collaboration between the DoS and the Department of Bioengineering & Therapeutic Sciences. In July 2018, Dr. Moses began a two-year pediatric surgery fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, which he will soon graduate from.
During his career at UCSF, Dr. Moses was honored with numerous awards including the Medical Student Teaching Award and Lawrence Way Critical Thinker Award from the Department of Surgery. In January 2018, he was a guest speaker at our Grand Round addressing the topic of: “Diversity and Inclusion in the Department of Surgery.”
